LULU

after Wedekind
a new version by Gemma Brockis
first performed by the MA International Students at East 15, June 2026

The Lulu plays, written around 1900, follow the decline and fall of the most elusive dramatic heroine. What is Lulu? A victim? A killer? A monster? An elf? She probably doesn't really care what we call her anyway. Set at the birth of a country called Germany, an art movement called Impressionism, a French revolution called the Commune, and a series of London murders that shocked the world, we follow Lulu into the deep dark night.
